Vivian Lin has crafted a contemporary approach to media in her role as Chief Creative Officer and Founder of Tangent Entertainment. Utilizing her expertise in broadcast journalism, media consumerism and marketing along with her knowledge of teen lifestyle trends, Vivian has constructed an emerging media network that connects new media technologies through the distribution of digital content and software applications.
Vivian has optimized broadcast and production experience that spans more than 25 years to develop an emerging media network that is encompassing a three screen process (3SP™) to simulcast television shows (HD/STD formats), video on demand, Internet websites, wireless downloads and podcasts/video podcasts. Capitalizing on the use of today’s youth of new media technologies, Vivian has embraced all forms of new media to not only develop a media network, but an untraditional approach to media and marketing methods.
Prior to Tangent Entertainment, Vivian was an Executive Producer for Next Wave Productions where she worked on sport segments for ESPN, FoxSports and Planet X. Vivian has also worked as an on air radio personality hosting Los Angeles’ KWVE Youth on Fire as well as interviewed celebrities for Up Close and Personal. In addition, she was a Morning Show Producer and Reporter for CBS KGMB9 on CBS This Morning Show. Having covered everything from news, sports and entertainment for NBC, CBS and FOX has enabled her to penetrate the teen, sports and music industries.
Committed to fostering the advancement of technology and media among youth, Vivian is currently serving as a media advisor to the Gary and Jeri-Ann Jacobs High Tech High Media Arts School in San Diego, CA. She is also an advisor to the Newspaper Association of America where she is working to broaden the economic base for print publications by effectively reaching young adult readers through technology and digital media.
